Request a Donation
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can request a donation?
Any individual that represents a non-profit 501(c) organization that serves our local community.
Do you consider sponsorship requests for fundraisers?
Yes, if the fundraiser is directly supporting a 501(c) organization serving our local community. We also welcome information on sponsorship levels so our lodge members may chose their tier of giving.
How much money can I ask for?
You can request what you need, but please note that our lodge's average donation is between $250 and $1000.
What do you expect in return for your donation?
The lodge expects nothing in return for our donation, but feedback on how it helped our community is always appreciated.
Do I have to be a member of the Elks Lodge to request a donation?
No. However, donation requests made by Elks members are prioritized.
What factors would help get my donation request approved?
While our lodge accepts all donation requests, those that focus on Veteran, children, or animal causes usually garner the most interest from our members. A concise, well written request and being readily available if we have questions also helps.
Who do you NOT give donations to?
Non-501(c) organizations and any organization that discriminates based on sex, race, or sexual orientation. We also do not donate directly to individuals or to churches, fraternal organizations, political party headquarters, political campaigns or 501(c) organizations that do not reinvest our donation back into our local community.
How long will it take to receive a response to my donation request?
Our lodge should respond to your request within 30-45 business days. If it's been longer, please feel free to contact our Lodge Secretary by phone at 919-735-3131. Duplicate donation requests will not speed up the process.
